Mark Wahlberg discusses relocating from Los Angeles to prioritize family

Actor Mark Wahlberg shared that he relocated from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 2022 to prioritize his children's upbringing. During an appearance on ‘The Shop’ podcast, Wahlberg stated that living in Hollywood is no longer a necessity for success in the entertainment industry due to the ability to self-tape auditions and the increasing frequency of filming in locations with competitive tax credits, such as the UK or Australia.

Wahlberg noted that while he misses the Los Angeles weather, dining options, and social circle, he wanted to provide a different environment for his four children. He mentioned that the move to Las Vegas allows them to better pursue hobbies like golf, basketball, and horseback riding. He also recently purchased a seven-bedroom mansion in Delray Beach, Florida.
