During a broadcast at UFC 330, Wahlberg praised Abdul-Mateen II’s physicality, describing him as a ‘serious athlete’ capable of portraying the former two-division champion. Wahlberg noted that the actor’s stature and athletic abilities make him a perfect fit for the role. He stated that if Jones is interested in the project, he is prepared to produce the film.

Jon Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists in history, having held both light heavyweight and heavyweight titles.
