Markforged appoints Unotech as exclusive distributor in Hong Kong

Markforged has appointed Unotech Limited as its exclusive distributor in Hong Kong to provide industrial additive manufacturing solutions. Unotech will oversee sales, technical support, and application development for the Markforged product portfolio within the region.

The partnership aims to introduce Continuous Fiber Reinforcement (CFR) technology to local industries, including aviation maintenance, electronics manufacturing, and medical devices. This technology utilizes continuous strands of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and high-strength fiberglass during the printing process to create components with strength and rigidity comparable to machined aluminum.

The technology is intended to assist local manufacturing and engineering units in managing compressed lead times and high-mix, low-volume orders by enabling print-on-demand production of manufacturing jigs, fixtures, robotic grippers, and other functional parts.
