Marko Perković Thompson concert raises over 1 million euros in Vukovar

The humanitarian concert ‘Vukovar, together for the future’, featuring Marko Perković Thompson, has raised a net profit of 1,008,466.50 euros. The event took place on August 29 in the Economic Zone of Vukovar.

According to the Vukovar city administration and organizers, the funds will be split between two major projects. One portion is dedicated to the construction of the ‘Stadium 12 Croatian Policemen’ in Vukovar, a site named in memory of twelve Croatian police officers killed in Borovo Selo in May 1991. The remaining funds will support the ‘Budi dio sna’ (Be Part of a Dream) project, which aims to complete the Salesian student dormitory in Zagreb. This facility is expected to accommodate 60 students from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vukovar Mayor Marijan Pavliček estimated that the concert drew between 100,000 and 120,000 attendees from Croatia and abroad, necessitating significant traffic and parking regulations in the city.
