Marko Vulević’s novella released in Slovenian translation

The magazine Komun@ has released a Slovenian translation of Marko Vulević’s novella, titled ‘Balzam za spomine’ (Balm for Memories). This publication follows the original release of ‘Melem za uspomene’.

The work explores the complex relationship between past and present, focusing on themes of memory, loss, and emotional healing. A central motif of the novella is the impact of patriarchal patterns on the lives of women and girls in Montenegro, serving as an homage to their resilience and struggle against social norms.

The Slovenian edition was made possible through co-financing from the Ministry of Culture and Media, in collaboration with the Montenegrin Cultural Society ‘Komovi’ in Maribor and the Municipality of Andrijevica. The release aims to bring Montenegrin literature closer to the Slovenian reading public and the Montenegrin diaspora in Slovenia.
