Markopoulo bus driver accused of threatening elderly passenger

A bus driver in Markopoulo is under investigation following a recorded confrontation in which he allegedly used profanity and issued threats against an elderly passenger. The incident occurred on the 309 B route after the passenger questioned why the driver failed to stop at a designated station to pick up a waiting individual.

Video footage captured by a 60-year-old passenger shows the driver making aggressive statements, including, ‘Watch out, I know you and I will finish you’ and ‘I will leave you there and I will destroy you.’ The elderly victim described the behavior as an ‘abuse of power,’ claiming the driver acted as if he could decide arbitrarily whom to pick up and when to open the doors.

The passenger who recorded the video has filed a formal complaint with OASA, noting that she had also been subjected to verbal abuse by the same driver on a previous occasion. She is currently considering legal action. The driver denies the allegations, claiming that the passengers were the ones who initiated the attack against him. Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
