Markos Seferlis criticizes Giorgos Liagas over Nemo satire

Comedian Markos Seferlis has criticized television presenter Giorgos Liagas following a dispute regarding a satirical sketch involving Nemo, the 2024 Eurovision winner. In an interview with the digital channel ‘Alyx’, Seferlis addressed the backlash he received, specifically targeting Liagas for commenting on the performance without having seen it.

Seferlis expressed disbelief that Liagas contacted Nemo’s father, located abroad, to discuss the matter. He described the presenter's actions as an attempt to gain attention, stating, ‘Only Liagas made it an issue, just to become famous, as he constantly does.’

To illustrate the absurdity of the criticism, Seferlis compared the situation to a previous sketch where he played a version of Rambo, questioning why Liagas had not contacted Sylvester Stallone’s father in that instance. The comedian concluded by asking for professional boundaries, stating that he does not interfere in the work of others and expects the same respect for his comedic craft.
