Markos Seferlis Rules Out Political Career, Stresses Comedy Mission

In a recent interview with the Secret supplement of the Greek newspaper Parapolitika, comedian and actor Markos Seferlis said he will never enter politics, stating, "I will never go down into politics. I cannot lie." He explained that his purpose is to make people laugh and that politics is a field that requires compromises and dishonesty, which conflicts with his personal integrity.

Seferlis also noted that he often includes public figures in his satire, mentioning politicians such as Adonis and Konstantopoulou, but emphasized that his satire is meant in good humor and not to attack. He reaffirmed his commitment to comedy, saying his mission is to keep the public entertained and maintain the trust he has built with his audience.
