Markova Reka bridge renovation completed ahead of schedule

The Public Enterprise for State Roads has completed the renovation of the Markova Reka bridge on regional road R1106 ahead of schedule. The bridge, which serves residents in Kisela Voda, Drachevo, Zelenikovo, and Batinci, is set to be fully operational starting September 5, 2026.

Construction activities included repairing the upper structure, removing existing expansion joints, drains, asphalt, and sidewalks. The project involved installing a new concrete slab, waterproofing the bridge structure, asphalt paving, and constructing new sidewalks with curbs and repairing the parapet beam.

The works were carried out by Sintek Engineering DOOEL, with supervision provided by EOS E. E. DOO Skopje. The project was funded by the Public Enterprise for State Roads budget, totaling 4,619,800 denars excluding VAT.
