Marks & Spencer and Primark recall products over Listeria and lead hazards

Marks & Spencer has withdrawn its 150‑gram M&S Food Truffle Gouda (product code 29424887, use‑by 9 Oct 2026) after the Food Standards Agency and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland detected Listeria monocytogenes. Shoppers are instructed not to eat the cheese and to return it to any M&S store for a full refund. The recall applies to batches sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland and targets vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.

Primark has issued an urgent recall of three pepper‑mill models (codes 6772201, 6770801 and 3022201) after the Office for Product Safety and Standards found excess concentrations of lead. The UK Health Security Agency warned that short‑term exposure can cause stomach upset, headaches, and severe organ damage. Consumers are asked to stop using the items immediately and return them to the nearest Primark store for a full refund.
