Marks & Spencer delays Sheffield Foodhall opening and launches festive range
Marks & Spencer has announced that the opening of its new Foodhall at Fox Valley in Sheffield has been delayed until January. Originally scheduled for this autumn, the multi-million-pound store has reached a construction milestone with the handover of keys, but requires further interior fitting before it can open. The 22,742 sq ft facility will include a 16,000 sq ft sales area, an in-store bakery, and dedicated shops for flowers and wine. The opening is expected to create approximately 50 jobs.
In separate retail news, Marks & Spencer has launched its 2026 Christmas food-to-go range. The seasonal collection features returning items such as the Pigs in Blankets sandwich and the Brie and Grape sandwich, alongside new options like the Christmas Club Sandwich. The retailer also announced that 5% of sales from every festive food-to-go product will be donated to the charity Shelter to support those experiencing homelessness.
