Markt Laaber Holds 36th Bürgerfest on July 25, 2026

The town of Markt Laaber in Bavaria will host its 36th Bürgerfest on Saturday, 25 July 2026. The two‑day celebration will take place in the market square and Kirchplatz beneath the castle ruins, beginning at 14:00 with an ecumenical opening service. The program includes performances by local choirs, Irish step dancing, a dance club, a prize‑giving ceremony, and live music by the band "Spitz af Knopf" on the main stage. A separate rock stage at the church square will feature school bands, emerging groups and established rock acts throughout the evening.

Key attractions feature a traditional duck‑racing event organized by the Lions Club, a variety of children’s activities such as a climbing frame, face‑painting, a carousel, a miniature railway, and a bungee trampoline. Food and drinks will be provided by local clubs and hosts, with proceeds from the duck race supporting charitable causes. Volunteers from numerous clubs and institutions are coordinating the festival to emphasize community, togetherness and local culture.
