Markus Rotano hits music charts as new dance bar opens in Villach

German singer Markus Rotano is experiencing significant chart success with his new single, ‘Dornröschen, das Partyluder’. The party schlager track has reached number one in the German iTunes Schlager charts and number two in the genre-crossing iTunes charts. It also reached number 96 in the global iTunes Top 100 and number two on the Amazon bestseller list for Schlager & Volksmusik.

Rotano, a former manager from Ludwigsburg who has been performing since 1991, is scheduled to perform multiple sets at the Cannstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart between October 3 and October 10, 2026.

In Villach, Austria, a new dance bar named ‘Schickeria’ is set to open on October 9 at Trattengasse 4. Operated by an individual with 35 years of gastronomic experience, the venue aims to provide a space for partner dancing, featuring music such as Schlager, Austropop, and Discofox to fill a perceived gap in the local nightlife.
