Marl football clubs reschedule junior city championships

Local football clubs in Marl have reached an agreement to reschedule the junior city championships during the autumn holidays, following a previous cancellation and boycott in the early summer.

The rescheduled program includes six tournaments and festivals for age groups ranging from G-juniors to C-juniors. However, the U17 and U19 categories will not participate due to a lack of available teams.

Competitions are set to begin on October 24 with the C-junior and D-junior tournaments. The Sickingmühler SV will host the C-junior event, while the JSG Lenkerbeck/Fenerbahce United Marl will organize the D-junior championship at the district sports facility on Schulstraße. On October 31, the E-junior championship will take place at the Polsumer Sportzentrum Im Breil, hosted by SuS Polsum. Additionally, VfB Hüls and SC Marl-Hamm will host various junior festivals.
