German municipalities schedule July speed camera checks

Several German local authorities have published the locations where mobile speed‑camera units will operate from 6 July to mid‑July 2026.

The Ennepe‑Ruhr‑Kreis will monitor speeds in towns such as Hattingen, Schwelm, Ennepetal, Sprockhövel, Gevelsberg, Herdecke, Wetter and surrounding streets on specific dates. Recklinghausen’s city administration listed streets for each weekday from 6 July to 10 July, including Beisinger Weg, Cäcilienhöhe, Hellbachstraße, Kölner Straße and others. Dorsten’s municipal and district officials announced checks on Hauptstraße, Hafenstraße and Wittenberger Damm from 6 July to 12 July, with additional stationary sites on nearby highways. The Recklinghausen district also detailed speed‑camera spots in Datteln, Oer‑Erkenschwick and Waltrop, covering routes such as Grüner Weg, L889 Recklinghäuser Straße, L511 Horneburger Straße and L511 Brambauerstraße from 6 July onward.

All announcements note that unannounced controls may also occur and that violations can result in fines and penalty points under German traffic law.
