Marl hosts dementia-themed theater performance and discussion

As part of the Marl Dementia Weeks, the play ‘Du bist meine Mutter’ (You are my mother) will be performed on November 26 at the Erlöserkirche Cultural Center. The production features actor Achim Conrad, who performs both the roles of a son and his 80-year-old mother to illustrate how dementia alters the relationship between parents and children.

Following the performance, a discussion panel will be held to address questions regarding dementia. Participants include Dr. Ludger Springob, Chief Physician of Geriatrics at Knappschaft Kliniken Paracelsus Marl, Kerstin Marohn-Ranft from the City of Marl's elderly assistance coordination, and Heike Augst from the Marl Senior Citizens' Advisory Board. The event is organized in collaboration with the city, the Marl Senior Citizens' Advisory Board, and the Care Advisory and Information Center (BIP).
