Marl launches annual Stadtradeln cycling initiative

The city of Marl is launching the annual ‘Stadtradeln’ cycling initiative, running from September 6 to September 26. The event encourages citizens, schools, clubs, and companies to collect kilometers via bicycle to promote sustainable mobility.

To kick off the campaign, a group bicycle tour will depart from Creiler Platz in Marl toward Datteln-Horneburg. The approximately 40-kilometer round trip is organized in coordination with the Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrradclub (ADFC) and is part of a larger ‘star ride’ involving various cities within the Recklinghausen district. The district will host information stands regarding bicycle traffic and sustainable mobility during the event.

Participation is free and does not require registration. Residents, employees, students, or members of local clubs in Marl can participate by logging their kilometers through a dedicated app or online.
