Marília and Ribeirão Pires host weekend amateur football tournaments

The municipal sports secretaries in Marília and Ribeirão Pires organized weekend amateur football competitions on June 20‑21. In Marília, the Copa SELJ featured 13 matches across the Master, 1ª Divisão and 2ª Divisão categories, played on five city fields. Highlights included Ajax Marília vs Teotônio, Marília Master vs Guaimbê Veteranos and several 2ª Divisão fixtures such as Beko do Argolo vs Raízes Getulina.

Ribeirão Pires’ Liga Ribeirãopirense scheduled 17 matches at four venues, with the second round of the Veterans (+40) league on Saturday and the opening round of the 1ª Divisão Municipal on Sunday. Teams such as EC Bolívia, Legendários, FC Camisa 10 and Real Santa Rosa FC competed in the early‑morning slots. Both events aim to strengthen local amateur football, provide competitive opportunities for clubs, and engage community spectators.
