Sinop cycling events draw 200 participants during Festival de Praia

The Festeja Sinop 2026 celebrations included cycling activities during the third day of the Festival de Praia, held on the Brazilian Independence Day holiday. The event featured a mountain bike competition as part of the Festeja Sinop Olympic Games, alongside the inaugural Ciclo Festeja, a non-competitive ride.

Approximately 200 participants took part in the activities, which followed a 23-kilometer route starting at Estrada Nanci and ending at Praia do Cortado. Tourism Director Leidiane Viegas noted that the Ciclo Festeja was created to allow more people to enjoy the scenery and the Teles Pires River without the pressure of competition. Sports Technical Director Paulo Carvalho praised the new circuit and the infrastructure provided by the Sinop City Hall.
