Marília launches 21st municipal student assessment program
The City of Marília is conducting the 21st edition of the Municipal School Performance Assessment System (Sarem) on September 1 and 2. Approximately 1,600 fourth-grade students from 21 municipal elementary schools (Emefs) will participate in the evaluations.
The assessment is divided into two days: Mathematics on Tuesday, September 1, featuring ten problem-solving scenarios, and Portuguese Language on Wednesday, September 2, which includes text production and multiple-choice questions focused on reading comprehension.
According to the Municipal Secretariat of Education, the Sarem is a diagnostic tool rather than a classificatory exam. The data collected will be used by pedagogical coordinators and school teams to identify learning advances and challenges, allowing for more precise planning of educational interventions and pedagogical strategies.
