Marília Policlínica construction delayed as health services relocate

The construction of the new Policlínica in Marília has yet to begin, despite the service order being signed nearly two months ago. The project, funded by the Novo PAC, involves an investment exceeding R$ 30 million, with R$ 20 million for construction and R$ 13 million for hospital equipment. Although an official sign indicates work began in June with an 18-month timeline for completion by December 2027, the site remains without workers, machinery, or construction fencing.

In related health service developments, the Wound and Stoma Clinic in Marília is relocating to the Policlínica Região Oeste in Vila Coimbra, effective September 1. The move aims to improve accessibility and structure for patients requiring specialized care for chronic skin lesions, pressure ulcers, and ostomy management. The new location will centralize clinical assistance and the distribution of essential equipment for ostomy patients.
