Marília school employee dismissed following alleged assault of 12-year-old student

A 22-year-old school organization agent has been dismissed and is under investigation for the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old student at a state school in Marília, São Paulo.

The incident reportedly occurred on August 12, when the suspect allegedly called the student to a lost-and-found room, where he hugged and kissed her twice on the mouth. According to police reports, the suspect had previously engaged in social media conversations with the girl, complimenting her appearance, and allegedly threatened her to remain silent about the encounter.

The Marília Women's Defense Police Station (DDM) has opened an inquiry into the case, which is being treated as rape of a vulnerable person. Investigators have requested school security footage and message logs to support the investigation. The student's mother has provided a statement, and the girl is scheduled for specialized psychological support.

The São Paulo State Education Secretariat (Seduc-SP) confirmed the employee's dismissal and stated that the Tutelary Council was notified. The school is providing support through the Conviva SP program and the 'Psychologists in Schools' initiative. The institution has pledged to intensify prevention and awareness actions regarding violence in the school environment.
