Marília Social Fund begins distribution of 8 tons of food

The Social Solidarity Fund of Marília has begun distributing over 8 tons of food to various charitable entities in the municipality. This initial phase is part of a total of 14 tons of donations collected during the 1st Agro Food Show and the Marília Rodeo Music.

The collection campaign utilized a system where solidarity tickets were exchanged for 1 kilogram of food, fostering collaboration between the public sector, private initiatives, and civil society. The food items are being delivered in stages to ensure they reach vulnerable families in need. Paula Almeida, president of the Social Fund, emphasized that the joint work with third-sector institutions is essential to meeting the demands of the local population.
