Marília sports teams secure table tennis title and futsal victory

The Marília sports community achieved notable success in recent regional competitions. In table tennis, the Marília team, represented by Yara Clube/Academia Nelson Machado/Unimed/Unimar/SELJ Marília, secured the overall championship at the 5th stage of the Liga Oeste Paulista de Tênis de Mesa held in Araçatuba. The team earned 21 medals, including seven gold, four silver, and ten bronze, totaling 1,675 points to finish ahead of Associação Cultural e Desportiva de Assis.

In futsal, the Marília women's team opened their campaign in the 2026 Liga Paulista de Futsal Mulheres with a 2-1 victory against ASF São Carlos. Goals by athletes Carol and Gi secured the win. Following this victory, the team is scheduled to face Araraquara at the Neusa Galetti Gymnasium. Additionally, the SELJ/MAC Futsal male youth teams are set to debut in various categories, including Sub-11 through Sub-17, against Raio/DEL.
