Marmaris Belediyesi FK targets professional leagues after club acquisition
Marmaris Belediyesi Futbol Kulübü has announced its strategic goals and new organizational structure following the acquisition of Milas Futbol Kulübü. The club, which will compete in the BAL Ligi for the 2025-2026 season, officially changed its name and unveiled a new logo following a general assembly on August 7, 2026, with approval from Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü.
Club President Erdem Karaosmanoğlu stated that the primary objective is to elevate the club to professional leagues. To achieve this, the team has undergone significant restructuring, retaining only five players from the previous season. Transfer activities are largely complete, with the new technical staff and players scheduled to begin training on August 24, followed by a training camp in Afyon on September 6.
Beyond football, the club maintains a broad athletic presence, managing a total of 1,175 athletes across various disciplines, including 253 volleyball players and 105 basketball players. The management aims to integrate the club with the local community by developing professional talent from the youth of Marmaris.
