Marnus Labuschagne aims to regain Test form ahead of Bangladesh series
Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne admitted that his recent search for runs had made him “greedy” at the crease during a lean patch in Test cricket. He said an unprecedented eight‑week break – the longest in seven years – allowed him to return to the fundamentals of his game, spending hours on technique and simple shots.
Labuschagne, who has not scored a Test century in his last 21 matches since July 2023, remains slated to keep the number three position for Australia as the side prepares for two Tests against Bangladesh in Darwin and Mackay. He expressed confidence that the extra preparation time will help him rediscover the form that produced ten of his eleven centuries between 2019 and 2022.
