Maroc Telecom reports 3.86 billion dirhams in net profit
Maroc Telecom recorded a net profit of 3.86 billion dirhams for the first nine months of 2026, compared to 5.52 billion dirhams during the same period the previous year. The company attributed the decrease primarily to exceptional income recorded in 2025 resulting from an agreement with Wana Corporate. Excluding this non-recurring item, net profit grew by 4.3 percent.
Operational performance showed strength, with consolidated EBITA exceeding 8.62 billion dirhams, representing a 6.1 percent increase when excluding the exceptional impact of the 2025 Wana Corporate agreement. EBITDA rose by 4.9 percent to over 14.37 billion dirhams, maintaining a margin of 50.1 percent due to turnover growth and cost control.
The group's customer base grew by 2.4 percent year-on-year to over 78 million customers, driven largely by a 4.5 percent increase in African branches. In Morocco, mobile subscribers reached 18.95 million. Net debt stood at approximately 21.02 billion dirhams at the end of September, remaining controlled at a level equivalent to one times the annual EBITDA, despite a 3.5 billion dirham dividend distribution to shareholders in September.
