A 22-year-old national kick boxing champion has been arrested in Marousi following two violent attacks on women occurring within approximately one hour on September 15.
The first victim, a young woman, was attacked while walking toward her workplace's underground parking lot on Kifissias Avenue. The assailant reportedly used a chokehold, threw her to the ground, and struck her head repeatedly against the marble floor, causing her to lose consciousness. She later required surgery for her injuries.
Shortly after, the suspect attacked a 55-year-old woman in her vehicle in the Polydroso area of Marousi. The attacker pulled her from the car, causing physical injuries, and fled the scene in her vehicle. The stolen car was later found abandoned in Agia Paraskevi.
The suspect was apprehended after his own father contacted the police to report his involvement. He faces charges of robbery and causing dangerous bodily harm.
