Marrakech hosts new museum and diverse cultural festivals

Marrakech is hosting several significant cultural developments. The Maison Denise Masson has inaugurated a permanent museum space in a 19th-century riad. Dedicated to the life and work of the French intellectual and islamologist, the museum features archives, manuscripts, and personal objects. The project, managed by the Institut français du Maroc, aims to preserve her legacy of Franco-Moroccan intercultural dialogue.

In the Palmeraie district, the Ramakech sculpture park, created by artist Jean-François Fourtou, offers an immersive outdoor experience. The site features monumental sculptures and architectural installations inspired by childhood memories and the surrounding nature.

Other cultural highlights include the Salé Film Festival, which focuses on promoting women in the film industry and fostering emerging African cinematic talent, and the sixth edition of the Marrakech Photography Encounters, which brings together international and Moroccan photographers through exhibitions and portfolio readings.
