Marreco club mourns symbolic supporter Maria Ribeiro

Maria Ribeiro, known as ‘Vovó do Marreco’, has passed away at the age of 89. A symbolic supporter of the Marreco club in Francisco Beltrão, Paraná, she was the mother of Arno Ribeiro, the club’s first historical coach.

The Marreco club has declared three days of mourning to honor her legacy. In recognition of her lifelong devotion, the club had previously presented her with a completely gold official jersey. The club released a statement noting that she was considered their ‘number 1 supporter’ and described her as a vital part of the club’s history and soul.
