MARRIAGETOXIN anime announces second season for January 2027

The anime series MARRIAGETOXIN is confirmed to return for a second season, scheduled to begin streaming in January 2027. Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. has released a new main visual and a teaser trailer to mark the announcement.

Director Motonobu Hori will return for the sequel, alongside Kimiko Ueno, who handles composition and scripts, and Kohei Tokuoka, who serves as character designer and chief animation director. The production is supervised by studio Bones. The series follows the partnership between assassin Hikaru Gero and marriage swindler Mei Kinosaki.

In a recent interview, Hori reflected on the positive reception of the first season, noting the enthusiastic response from fans at Anime Expo 2026. The upcoming season will maintain the core cast, featuring Haruki Ishiya as Hikaru Gero and Shion Wakayama as Mei Kinosaki.
