Marriott and major airlines expand luxury hospitality offerings
Marriott International has seen eight of its properties in Latin America and the Caribbean receive MICHELIN Keys, a distinction recognizing excellence in hospitality, design, and service. The highest honor was awarded to Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Costa Rica, which received three MICHELIN Keys. In Mexico, Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, earned two keys, while The St. Regis Kanai Resort and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort each received one.
In the aviation sector, major carriers are investing in premium ground experiences. Iberia has launched the Emerald Lounge Sorolla in Terminal 4 at Madrid-Barajas airport. The 800-square-meter space features furniture by Patricia Urquiola and offers personalized services to frequent travelers. Similarly, Air France has renovated its La Première VIP lounge in Paris to enhance its luxury offerings.
