Marriott Bonvoy adds 150,000‑point credit card bonus and up to 40% points purchase bonus

Marriott Bonvoy announced two new consumer promotions. The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card now offers a welcome bonus of 150,000 points plus a $250 statement credit after $6,000 in purchases within the first six months of membership, with the offer running through September 30, 2026 and an annual fee of $650. Eligibility excludes recent holders of other Marriott or Ritz‑Carlton co‑branded cards and recent beneficiaries of similar bonuses.

Separately, Marriott Bonvoy members can buy points with a bonus of up to 40% until 10 September 2026, raising the annual purchase limit from 100,000 to 200,000 points (pre‑bonus). The bonus tiers range from 30% to 40% depending on the quantity purchased, with a cost of about $0.89 per point at the highest tier. Purchased points are credited within 72 hours. The promotion aims to offset recent devaluations in the program’s dynamic pricing model.
