Marriott Bonvoy announces hotel point bonuses and transfer offers

Marriott Bonvoy has launched a promotion offering 1,000 bonus points for qualifying stays at 132 participating hotels in Canada. To qualify for the bonus, guests must arrive on either a Thursday or a Sunday using promotional code S2449. The offer is valid for stays through December 21, 2026.

In a separate development regarding loyalty point transfers, American Express cardholders can take advantage of an uncapped 15% bonus when converting Marriott Bonvoy points to Air Canada Aeroplan points. This transfer option provides a strategic way for travelers to access Aeroplan redemptions, which can offer lower mileage requirements for certain long-haul destinations compared to other airline programs.
