Marriott debuts City Express brand in South Asia with India opening

Marriott International has launched its City Express brand in South Asia with the opening of the City Express by Marriott Udaipur Nathdwara Highway in Rajasthan, India. The 56-room property is located along National Highway 58, positioned between Udaipur and the pilgrimage destination of Nathdwara.

The new hotel is designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers by focusing on quality, efficiency, and simplicity. Facilities at the property include workspaces, high-speed Wi-Fi, an all-day dining restaurant, and a fitness center.

This debut marks an expansion of Marriott’s portfolio into the midscale hospitality segment in India, providing a value-oriented alternative to the luxury and premium segments traditionally found in the region. The location offers proximity to Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Airport, the Udaipur Railway Station, and various historic attractions such as the City Palace and local lakes.
