Marriott International debuts new hotel brands in Uganda

Marriott International has officially launched the Kampala Marriott Hotel and the Marriott Executive Apartments Kampala in Uganda. This dual-branded property marks the debut of both the Marriott Hotels and Marriott Executive Apartments brands within the country.

Located in the Nsambya area, the Kampala Marriott Hotel features 181 guestrooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, and significant space for meetings and events. Complementing this, the Marriott Executive Apartments Kampala provides 96 fully serviced apartments specifically designed for extended stays.

The location offers proximity to Kampala’s city centre, Entebbe International Airport, diplomatic missions, and various cultural landmarks such as the Uganda Museum and Kabaka’s Palace. Johan Cronjé, Regional Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa at Marriott International, noted that the expansion responds to growing demand within Uganda’s evolving tourism and business sectors.
