Marriott to develop Taiwan's first AC Hotel at Sun Moon Lake

Elite Realm and Marriott International have signed an agreement to develop the first AC Hotels by Marriott in Taiwan, located at Sun Moon Lake in Nantou County. The project, titled the AC Hotels by Marriott Nantou Sun Moon Lake, is expected to involve an investment of approximately 3 to 4 billion TWD.

The development will consist of five buildings designed to cater to various demographics, including vacationers, business groups, and families. The hotel is scheduled to open by the end of 2030.

Nantou County Magistrate Hsu Shu-hua attended the signing ceremony, noting that while the domestic tourism market has faced challenges, Sun Moon Lake continues to attract millions of visitors annually. The introduction of an international brand is expected to enhance the region's global visibility and attract more high-end leisure and business travelers to the area.
