Marsala 1912 secures forward Calogero La Piana ahead of new season

Former Licata midfielder Calogero La Piana has joined Serie D side Marsala 1912 and was presented to supporters at the Nino Lombardo Angotta stadium. La Piana said the club’s “ambitious project” and the enthusiasm of the fans convinced him to sign, adding that the supporters “are the twelfth man” and that he will give his full effort to help the team win. He described himself as a versatile attacker willing to adapt to coach Giovanni Giannusa’s tactics.

The signing is part of a broader activity window for Marsala 1912, which includes retaining defender Lorenzo Galfano and targeting striker Vincenzo Manfrè.
