Marsala Carabinieri crackdown on nightlife results in seven arrests

Carabinieri units in Marsala carried out an intensive patrol of the city’s main nightlife areas along the northern and southern coasts. The operation, coordinated with the Trapani provincial command and local prefecture, aimed to prevent and suppress criminal activity.

During the checks, seven individuals were referred to the public prosecutor: two drove without a licence, one was caught driving under the influence of drugs, one faced suspicion of illegal possession of work equipment, another violated home arrest orders, one provided false personal details, and one was found with a switchblade. The patrol also identified 60 people, inspected 40 vehicles, issued four traffic violations and reported a seizure of one gram of heroin. Investigations remain in the preliminary stage.

The actions illustrate the authorities’ focus on maintaining public order and safety in high‑traffic social venues.
