Marsala center for homeless individuals hosts autumn community festival

The Badia Grande Social Cooperative hosted an autumn festival at ‘La Comunità che Accoglie’, a center for homeless individuals located in the Madonna Cava Bufalata district of Marsala. The open day event aimed to introduce the local community to the center’s inclusion programs and foster stronger ties between the facility, local institutions, and civic associations.

The afternoon featured music by the Libera Orchestra Popolare di Marsala and concluded with a communal sharing of traditional autumn sweets prepared by the center’s guests and staff. Local officials, including Social Services Councilor Anna Caliò and City Council President Giovanni Maniscalco, attended alongside representatives from various third-sector associations and scout groups.

Greta Margagliotti, project coordinator and Vice President of the Badia Grande Cooperative, stated that the initiative was designed to build hospitality through relationships and the creation of new solidarity networks.
