Marsala Film Festival continues with cinema and music programs

The Marsala Film Festival continues in the San Francesco district of Marsala, featuring a program centered on cinema, music, and civil engagement. The third day of the event focused on the memory of Peppino Impastato, featuring a discussion with Ottavio Navarra and Giovanni Impastato. This talk preceded a screening of ‘I cento passi’, a film by Marco Tullio Giordana regarding the life of Impastato.

Giovanni Impastato emphasized the importance of cultural memory and individual responsibility in defending legality. The festival utilizes various urban spaces, including squares, alleys, and courtyards, to bring cinema directly to the community.

Scheduled activities for Saturday, September 5, include the ‘Musica, cinema e parole’ concert at Arena Piazza Ranne, a talk with Alessio Piazza, and several film screenings such as ‘L’uomo delle stelle’ and ‘Ciurè’. Other events include musical performances by students from the ‘A. Scontrino’ Conservatory and film casting sessions.
