Marsala to host technical meeting for 2026-2031 tourism strategy

The Municipality of Marsala will host its first technical meeting on September 16, 2026, to initiate a collaborative dialogue with local tourism operators. This meeting, convened by Tourism Councilor Laura Doro, is part of the ‘Marsala Turismo 2026-2031’ project.

The discussions aim to transition from programmatic indications to operational implementation, focusing on two primary objectives: the development of the 2026-2031 Strategic Tourism Plan and the establishment of a Destination Management Organization (DMO). Fabio Alba, spokesperson for Marsala Turismo 2026-2031, noted that these goals align with the mandate report presented by Mayor Andreana Patti.

The initiative seeks to unify various sectors of the tourism supply chain, including accommodation, dining, transport, food and wine, and local associations. The ultimate goal is to establish a professional governance structure to enhance Marsala’s competitiveness in both national and international markets.
