Marsh acquires Triton Insurance Agency

Global professional services firm Marsh has acquired Triton Insurance Agency, a Newport, Rhode Island, based firm specializing in marine and yacht insurance. The acquisition is intended to expand Marsh Agency’s private client insurance capabilities, specifically within coastal markets and for high-net-worth individuals.

Triton, founded in 2011, focuses on yacht, hull, and other marine coverage. Following the transaction, Triton CEO Bob Peck and the existing agency team will join Marsh Agency and continue to operate from their current office in Newport. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
