The promotion positions the British brand against established premium players JBL and Bose in the high‑end connected‑speaker segment, leveraging Amazon’s global reach to boost visibility and potentially pressure competitors on pricing.

Bose announced that cloud support for its SoundTouch line will cease on 6 May 2026. While core playback functions such as Bluetooth, AirPlay and Spotify Connect will remain, features that rely on the SoundTouch app—like preset management, stereo pairing of SoundTouch 10 units and over‑the‑air software updates—will be discontinued. An open‑source API now allows third‑party apps, such as Controller Pro, to replace the official app and keep devices usable on local networks.
