Marshall launches Hendrix‑anniversary Action III speaker

Marshall Amplification, the iconic British maker of rock‑era amplifiers, celebrated its influence on generations of musicians—from Jimi Hendrix’s psychedelic solos to Angus Young’s raw AC/DC tone and Eddie Van Halen’s “brown sound.” The brand’s visual presence, from towering speaker stacks to distinctive black‑to‑silver hardware, remains a hallmark of rock culture.

To mark the 60th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s partnership with the company, Marshall released a limited‑edition Action III speaker in a regal purple‑black finish. The compact unit measures 5.91 × 6.69 × 10.4 inches, weighs 6.28 lb, and must be plugged into mains power. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, an AUX input, two 15 W class‑D tweeter amplifiers and a 30 W class‑D subwoofer, delivering room‑filling sound despite its small footprint. The edition also includes complementary merchandise such as T‑shirts and a guitar‑amp head, extending the tribute across the Marshall product line.
