Marshall University releases women's soccer exhibition and men's basketball Sun Belt schedule

Marshall University's women's soccer team will play a free exhibition match against Delaware on Sunday evening at Hoops Family Field, ahead of its regular‑season opener on Aug. 13 versus Morehead State. The program, now in its third season under head coach Rafa Simoes, was highlighted by a record‑setting 2025 campaign and is projected to finish sixth in the Sun Belt Conference preseason poll.

The Marshall men’s basketball team announced its 2026‑27 Sun Belt Conference schedule, featuring nine home games and nine away contests. League play begins Dec. 16 at home against Old Dominion, followed by games against South Alabama, Arkansas State and several other conference foes, with the regular season set to conclude Feb. 26 against Troy. Season tickets and a full non‑conference slate will be released in the coming weeks.
