Marshall Wace trims short bets on German stocks Hugo Boss and Jenoptik

Marshall Wace LLP, a leading European hedge fund, reduced its net short position in Hugo Boss AG from 1.99 % to 1.86 % on 9 June 2026. The fashion retailer’s share traded at €36.48, up 0.61 % on the day.

A day earlier, on 8 June 2026, the fund cut its short stake in Jenoptik AG from 0.52 % to 0.49 %, slipping below the 0.5 % reporting threshold. Jenoptik’s stock was €44.30, gaining 0.77 %.

Both companies remain among the most watched German equities for short sellers. Other funds continue to hold short positions: Susquehanna International Group, Millennium International Management, BlackRock Investment Management (UK) and others on Hugo Boss; Capital Fund Management remains the largest short seller on Jenoptik with a 0.65 % stake.
