Marshall Women's Soccer defeats UT Martin 1-0

Marshall University women's soccer defeated the University of Tennessee at Martin 1-0 on Sunday night to complete an unbeaten two-game road trip through Tennessee.

The decisive goal occurred in the 30th minute when Lea Misch headed in a corner kick assisted by Wiktoria Mikrut. Despite being outshot 15-7 by UT Martin, Marshall secured the shutout thanks to six saves from goalkeeper Emma Durand.

UT Martin's offensive efforts included six shots on target, but they were unable to overcome the Marshall defense. The Skyhawks' attempts included a disallowed goal in the final seconds of the first half and a close call in the opening minute.
