MarShawn Lloyd prepared for increased role with Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd is prepared to take on a larger role in the offense as the team approaches their Week 1 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Lloyd, a former third-round pick from USC, is expected to serve as the presumptive starter following the absence of Josh Jacobs, who is currently on the Commissioner’s Exempt List due to an alleged domestic violence incident.

Lloyd addressed the media regarding his upcoming opportunity, noting that while many players may only be familiar with his college tape, they will eventually recognize his impact this season. After spending much of his first two years dealing with health concerns and limited playing time, Lloyd aims to establish himself in the Packers' backfield.

While Lloyd is the favorite to lead the rushing attack initially, he faces potential competition from Kaleb Johnson, a former third-round pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers whom the Packers acquired via trade.
