Marta Muñoz wins Girls’ Amateur Championship

Madrid-born golfer Marta Muñoz has won the Girls’ Amateur Championship, marking her first major international victory. In a historic final, Muñoz defeated fellow Spaniard Adriana García Terol by a score of 3/2.

This event marked the first time in the tournament's history that two Spanish players competed in the final. Muñoz becomes the fifth Spanish golfer to win this prestigious amateur title, which dates back to 1919, joining previous winners María Beautell, Azahara Muñoz, Belén Mozo, and Alejandra Pasarín.

Muñoz reached the final after finishing the qualifying phase in 14th place and defeating competitors including England’s Lottie Woodham and China’s Sabrina Wong.
